My Parker Kennedy Faves

This weekend I drooled over Parker Kennedy's Living Room in the Atlanta Cathedral Inspiration Showhouse 2013.  No, you sillies.  I didn't actually tour the house in person.  I *wish.*  (Except, I'm all the way in Connecticut).  I would send my sister, Kurby, to do the task but she's about 15 months preggo with baby number two.  So we toured the fabulous room vicariously through photos that I've been stalking on their facebook page.

As promised, today, I'm sharing with you some of my favorite Parker Kennedy items.  They find the best character pieces.  I literally scour their pages just waiting to stake my claim.  I must warn you, though...their finds are so darn wonderful that they go quickly.  If you even *think* you may be interested in something, reach out to David or Lance and inquire about the item because the best stuff tends to disappear in a hit minute.  My recommendation is to always ask because even if they may no longer have something that is pictured, they could have something in the showroom or warehouse that they've just got in that could be a great back up!  (And if you live locally, even better...get your butt to Scott's or one of their show rooms and see this stuff in person!).

Here are some of my favorites!

Vintage Pagoda Lamp

It's hard to really tell from this photo, but these bamboo stools have a shade of pink to them!  Pink mixed with the blue and white chevron is perfect!

Fully restored vintage bamboo console and matching stools.

Do you have a favorite piece above?  What do you like about the style?

Rumor has it that Parker Kennedy is working with One King's Lane so I'd be on the lookout for a sale in the near future!  You never know, maybe even some of these finds will be featured there!

In the meantime, visit the Parker Kennedy facebook page to keep tabs on their latest finds.

Parker Kennedy in Atlanta Showhouse

Lance Jackson and David Ecton of Parker Kennedy are at it again.
I originally shared their absolutely brilliant style with ya'll last summer (recall here).
These gentlemen have continued to take the design world by storm.  They are currently featured in The Atlantan January 2013 issue, "Prepped for Success."

This weekend, Parker Kennedy has debuted a fabulous room in an Atlanta, Georgia Show House.  It's part of the Cathedral Antiques Show & Tour of Homes.

I have been tracking this living room progress on Lance and David's facebook page and I wanted to share the beautiful results with you here.

Here is C.R. Laine's wonderful navy Jack sofa.  Love the lines and those pillows pop against the navy!   (I'm a HUGE fan of C.R. Laine...they always have such wonderful style.  Check out some of their items from High Point Market this year, yes total tangent!)

Custom pink pillows with navy Greek key trim, the navy sofa is CR Laine's Jack sofa.
Parker Kennedy uses a fun mix of chinoiserie and modern elements.  I love the addition of the pink juju hat above the fireplace!  (PS. there is a seagrass rug underneath the plastic protective cover!)

These little puppies are at the warehouse getting ready for delivery.  (And you can get a better look of that fanned peacock looking chair and its vibrant colors in the warehouse photo).  Can you imagine how it looks in the show house room!?  BRILLIANT! Look at that pink and navy ceiling!  Really makes the room pop!  For more fun about painting the ceiling of a room, read here

Install, day 1.  Lantern just starting out.  This will add character to the room!

Here are David and Lance at the preview party (pictured with a friend of theirs).  All photos courtesy of Parker Kennedy Facebook page

The show house is located in the heart of Buckhead on East Andrews drive.  If anyone is local to the ATL area, you should stop in and see this incredible display.  (Atlanta's Cathedral Inspiration Showhouse 2013).

One of the many things I love about David and Lance's design style is their mix of Palm Beach vintage-chic and modern elements. They frequently travel to Palm Beach and scour flea markets for undiscovered treasures and then bring them back to their Atlanta showroom where they refinish them like new.   I frequently go to their facebook page and review their newest findings and just drool.  One of these day's I'm going to make my way down to see them at their space at Scott's Antique Market.

Check back tomorrow!  I'm going to share some of my personal favorites from the Parker Kennedy collection.

Parker Kennedy Living

Parker Kennedy Living believes that a home should be a reflection of the person that lives there.  It's a designer warehouse and retail showroom located in Atlanta that specializes in one of a kind pieces that are hard to find for your home interior.

Lance Jackson and David Ecton created Parker Kennedy Living two years ago.  I love knowing the history behind a great name (remember Roberta Roller Rabbit) and "Parker" and "Kennedy" are the nicknames of the two founders, combined to create their company name.

I had the wonderful opportunity of having a facebook chat/introduction with Lance and David this weekend and I instantly fell in love with their Southern hospitality.  These gentleman invited me down to their showroom in Atlanta to check out some of their one of a kind finds.  Believe me, on my next trip South to see Kurby, we will be pulling up to visit these fellows (Parker Kennedy Living is located at 1227 Logan Circle, Atlanta, Georgia).

Currently, by appointment only, Parker Kennedy Living specializes in vintage Hollywood Regency style from Palm Beach (Shout out to my girls!).  They have large warehouses in West Palm where they store their finds until they transport them back to Atlanta to restore.  They buy and restore new life into vintage pieces with classic lines and style.   They carry modern, vintage and antique furniture, original artwork, home accessories, decorative lighting--you name it!

Parker Kennedy Living focuses on vintage resale, interior design and product development.

Parker Kennedy Living is a permanent dealer at Scott's Antique Market in Atlanta (who in ATL doesn't know about Scott's!).  They're in the South Building Isle I-7.   They also sell at Cotswold Marketplace in Charlotte, North Carolina and Slate Interiors in Charlotte.

And how exciting, they're paring with CR Laine this fall at Highpoint to showcase their vintage case goods and accessories with the CR Laine product line.  (Parker Kennedy debuted at Highpoint in the spring 2012 for the first time ever in the Market Square Antique design center and they sold over 98% of their vintage furniture).  Keep your eye out for these guys!  They've got extreme talent

Hey boys, remember you offered to have me tag along with you at the Fall Highpoint 2012?  I'll meet ya at the entrance!  And don't forget us little peeps on your way to the top!
